ATS Crisis & Transition Teams
Rapid additional staffing and transition support when a service is under pressure, a placement changes suddenly, or a new package needs to be mobilised.

Practical support when it matters.
ATS can provide short-term crisis and transition capacity when existing services are unable to safely maintain staffing because of their circumstances. This may include sickness, unexpected vacancies, a sudden change in the individual’s needs, an emergency placement or a new transition that needs to be established before a permanent team is ready.
Emergency staffing cover
Where a provider is unable to staff a package because of unexpected circumstances, ATS can discuss temporary additional staffing to help maintain continuity while a longer-term solution is arranged.
Mobilisation Teams
ATS can mobilise a fully trained temporary team to establish a new service from the outset. From experienced support workers through to team leaders, we can provide the staffing structure required to get the service operational and ready for a professional handover when the permanent arrangements are in place. Where a property is being prepared for a new or changing service, we can also undertake a property visit, identify appropriate adaptations and coordinate their delivery in line with the agreed service budget.
Emergency transitions
When an individual needs to move quickly because circumstances have changed, we can support the transition with planned staffing, communication and handover.
Stabilisation and handover
The aim is to provide practical short-term stability, work alongside relevant professionals and then hand over appropriately to the permanent provider or team.
From first staff member to a fully operational team.
When a new service needs to be established quickly, ATS can provide a structured mobilisation team to support the service from the initial setup through to handover.
Our staffing model can include support workers, senior support workers and experienced team leaders, depending on the needs of the service. Our staff are appropriately trained and prepared to work within agreed support plans, procedures and professional standards.
Our team leaders provide on-the-ground oversight, helping to coordinate staff, maintain consistency, support day-to-day operations and ensure the service is positioned for a smooth and well-managed transition to the permanent team.
Where property adaptations are required, ATS can arrange a property visit to assess the environment, identify practical requirements and coordinate appropriate adaptations. We work collaboratively with the relevant parties and within the agreed service budget to ensure adaptations are proportionate, practical and aligned with the needs of the service.
A clear, professional approach.
We keep the process straightforward, with clear responsibilities, communication and agreed timescales.
Let’s talk through the circumstances.
